Celebration Coast to Coast! 

Spring brings college acceptance letters, volunteer recruitment season and celebratory fundraisers that support our work! Graduation is right around the corner and we’re so excited to send nearly 300 scholars off to over 100 different colleges across the nation. Congratulations Minds Matter Class of 2019!

Minds Matter Los Angeles Attends College Signing Day!

Last summer, Jesus, attended one of the most competitive mathematics and sciences program at Carnegie Mellon University. Looking back “my favorite part of the program was that it pushed me past the barriers of prior knowledge,” he reflected. Jesus will be studying Aerospace Engineering this fall!

Congratulations to Londy who gained early acceptance to Princeton University as a Questbridge Scholar! “Going to college means I can discover new ideas and improve myself. It means I can take a step towards pushing for change to better the lives of people who matters most,” Londy stated. 

Senior Spotlights!

QuestBridge recipient, Wiener, will be attending Colby College this Fall. He expressed, “the Minds Matter Boston Chapter is empowerment. This organization has empowered me to become my best self, pursue my dreams, and believe in the power of my future.”

Marcela from Minds Matter San Francisco will be attending University of San Francisco this Fall, majoring in Education and minoring in Sociology. In her own words, “Minds Matter has allowed me to explore difference careers and because of this exposure I have been able to shape my own.”

This Fall, Mario from Minds Matter Cleveland will be heading to Colorado College! Mario attributes his success to the organization as “Minds Matter gave me hope.  Being a part of Minds Matter showed me that, if you set your mind to something, you can do it.”

Minds Matter NYC twins, Davon and Destiny will be attending the University of Virginia and Cornell University. Both siblings were featured on the Dr. Oz show and received the Minds Matter National scholarship towards their college tuition!

A Successful Spring!

Spring For The Students with Chicago

Minds Matter Chicago raised $85,000 for their gala at the historic Chicago Cultural Center. The evening celebrated student successes through the program and recognized exceptional volunteer efforts.

Casino Night in Denver

Minds Matter Denver raised over $200,000 at their annual Casino Night gala, an evening of inspiration and celebration of the organization. MM alumnus, Alyssa, gave a powerful speech about how MM has impacted her trajectory.

NYC’s Spring Soirée

On April 18, 2019, Minds Matter NYC celebrated its annual Spring Soirée, bringing together its volunteer corps and corporate sponsors to raise over $200,000 in support of its students.

The Gala at San Francisco

Minds Matter San Francisco celebrates under the City Hall dome at their annual fundraising gala with 1,500 people in attendance and raising $136,000.
