Leadership Teams

Minds Matter was a strictly volunteer-based and run organization until only recently. As it grew, the organization achieved considerable successes allowing it to hire its first full-time employee as Executive Director in 2005 and its second in 2006. Through this development from a grassroots organization to a more structured entity, Minds Matter has maintained its volunteer leadership structure and kept organizational costs low to ensure greater effectiveness in achieving its mission. More than 400 volunteers nationwide dedicate their time to help Minds Matter achieve its mission each year, making the volunteer : paid staff ratio approximately 275 : 1. Using conservative figures, the value of volunteered time is nearly $2,000,000!
