Chicago - Become a Corporate Sponsor
Why Sponsor Us?
- Opportunity to give back to the local Chicago community. Our 22 mentees attend Chicago inner-city schools and come from families with an average combined household income of $19,888, yet they maintain an average 3.6/4.0 grade point average. Participating inner-city schools include Cristo Rey, John Hope, Dyett, and Jones High School.
- Present your company message to a strong network of Chicago's professionals. Our volunteer mentors come from a wide variety of firms and graduate schools in the Chicago area, including: AST DewTour, Cars.com, CDW, DRW Trading Group, Fourth Presbyterian, Goldman Sachs, GTCR Golder Rauner, HSBC, Kaplan, KPMG, Lake Capital, Latham & Watkins, Levi Strauss, MB Financial, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Pritzker Realty, Northwestern University, Reed Smith, Res Publica Group, Score! Educational Centers, Sears Holdings, Skyline Capital Management, Starcom, and the University of Chicago, among others.
- Take part in an exciting, young and successful organization. Minds Matter has grown 100% per year and plans to match that rate for the next few years. Our impact in the community is limited only by the financial support we receive. Every year we turn away eager applicants to the Minds Matter program due to lack of funding, and we need your help to change that!
- Join the ranks of our current prominent donors. Minds Matter of Chicago is fortunate to be supported by a number of generous Chicago organizations including the Boeing Foundation, Chicago SunTimes, Goldman Sachs, Lawyers Lend-a-Hand, Levi Strauss, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Kellogg School of Business, and a large unnamed foundation.
Impact of Your Sponsorship
- Every $2,500 donated makes college a closer reality for a student in the Minds Matter program by supporting the cost of their participation for one year. The money goes directly to books, supplies, and summer program tuition costs. We measure the effectiveness of funds employed by tracking SAT/ACT score improvement, vocabulary improvement, and increases in writing and critical thinking skills. Our ultimate benchmark is students' acceptance to summer programs and eventually full time college attendance.
