Chicago - Associate Board

Because the majority of our 35 mentees come from low income households, fundraising is an essential part of ensuring that Minds Matter mentees are able to turn their dreams of higher education into a reality. The goal of the Associate Board is to oversee the fundraising efforts of our 120+ person organization. The Associate Board works closely with the Fundraising Co-Directors to help further develop our organization's fundraising strategies. Board members focus on overseeing three major aspects of the Minds Matters fundraising plan: corporate sponsorship and grant writing, event planning, and individual fundraising.

We are looking for creative, detail-oriented, and motivated individuals that believe in the Minds Matter mission to join the Associate Board. Fundraising experience is a plus, but not a requirement. General responsibilities for each member include participation in a 30-60 minute biweekly conference call, a few hours spent on fundraising tasks each week, and attendance at biannual Minds Matter fundraisers.
